Arsenal target Christopher Samba has told current club Blackburn Rovers he wants to join the Gunners according to The Sun.The 27-year-old South African international has stunned the club where he signed a new long-term contract until 2015 back in January, by declaring his desire to leave.Arsene Wenger is known to be in the market for defensive additions, and is highly anticipated to renew interest in a player that almost moved to the Emirates Stadium in the mid-season window.Having already lost Samba's defensive partner Phil Jones to Manchester United, Blackburn will be desperate to keep hold of the commanding Gunners target.Anuradha Desai, a chairperson of Rovers' owners Venkys, confirmed, "We don't want to let Chris go. I'm confident that we can keep him and I hope he'll stay.
